Ishq Abad

Description

This is the complete poetic works (kulliyat) of one of contemporary Urdu's leading ghazal poets. Abbas Tabish is counted among the front-rank representative poets of ghazal, and his poetic universe is vast — he brought a fresh style to the ghazal while also making his mark through a wide range of subjects. His work moves fluidly across themes of mysticism, love, separation, restlessness, nature, socio-political life, patriotism, and the philosophy of life and death. This comprehensive volume brings together his major collections in one edition — an essential addition for any serious collection of modern Urdu poetry.
