Tarikh i Firoz Shahi

Description

Ziauddin Barani completed this Persian history in 1357. It covers the Delhi Sultanate from Sultan Balban's reign (1266) up to the early years of Firoz Shah Tughlaq. The back cover says it draws on events Barani saw himself or heard from his father, uncle and grandfather, who held important posts at the Delhi courts. This Urdu edition is based on Prof. Azizuddin Husain's text and also includes introductions by Prof. Azizuddin Husain Hamdani and Prof. Ishtiaq Ahmad Zilli (from his English translation).
