In Search of Our Origins
Description
In Search of Our Origins is a non-fiction work by Indian writer and researcher Jamshed Akhtar. It sets out his analysis of the Quran's original wording, which he presents as 119 pointers on the origin of life and of the first humans. He argues that the phenomenon of revelation is extraterrestrial in origin and proposes a way to test that claim. The book also discusses jinn, angels (malaika), and the concept of Paradise in relation to Adam, using the Quran and modern physics. The contents list includes Part I, "Quranic Revelations: Transmission or Inspiration". Its chapters cover how the revelations were transmitted, recorded and preserved. The book is aimed at readers interested in the intersection of religion and science, and it is a personal thesis rather than mainstream scientific consensus. Akhtar is an electrical engineering graduate of Aligarh Muslim University and the author of the novel The Ultimate Revelations (1996).
